Entering the Inner Sanctuary

Enter this sanctuary time by settling down, becoming quiet, and breathing deeply some breaths. Remind yourself you are in the Presence of Love. This place you are entering, within, is the inner Temple, where you are One with God. You may wish to use a mantra, or prayer phrase, follow the breathing in-and-out, or witness the arising and falling of all around you as the manifestation of universal-Spirit. Enjoy these moments of quietly settling and come out when you are ready.

Words of Wisdom

Today, is a special presentation offering. This is a challenge and appeal to us all to embrace a compassionate, empathic diversity in matters religious-spiritual. Now, we must quickly move beyond the extremes of fundamentalist-conservative religion and radical pluralism, and meet at a center between to grow in a wise embrace of our religious-sacral diversity. The change, and each step in it, begins in you and me.

The presentation below is a video appeal and brief lesson on unity-in-diversity: that we see valid apparent-contradictions as helpful complimentaries, in LOVE.  I will share the general path to that Embrace of Loving.

I offer with deep feeling, for I have been burdened in heart many years over this and have been strongly opposed in my religion for being led of Spirit to assist in this unifying Work - and eventually was removed, being termed a non-fit, and with no justification offered to me or my church - who had voted for my return with a 100 percent support - as to why I did not fit. And this occurred shortly after passing all the boards for license, and all the psychological testings to demonstrate my fitness for the work emotionally and personality-wise.  What got me in trouble?  Read on, and see the video too.  But simply put: the message of LOVE, one larger than the boundaries of a church, religion, or political orientation.

The result was a new beginning and homelessness (I was left with loss of almost all material belongings and sleeping in a storage room), but a freedom to address matters that the "institution" would not allow before.  Much of religion, and non-religion, is deeply invested in, oddly, protecting persons from Truth, so as to maintain the business (accent- business) as usual.

The forces against unity in much religion are strong, and sadly the "spiritual leaders" who will play the party-politics and not take a stand are too many.  My heart aches for a growth of respect among different paths, and one in which we relinquish little images of God, and the use of  "God" to fortify walls between us.

This is not just about religion.  This is about our world.  For example, if professing Christians and Muslims do not compassionately embrace in the United States, and other parts of the world, what can we predict will happen?

Also, the presentation assumes that we cannot get to where we need to be on this matter from where many of us are living.  The persons who have opened truly to the world from faith or wisdom paths, are persons who have engaged their respective paths as priority and have suffered for it - inward, outward, often both.

Do you like Rumi - read of his devotion to Islam and his suffering for his open embrace?  Do you like John of the Cross - read of his imprisonment, daily beatings, and humiliation endured many months from those of his own religious order?  You like Jesus - look at the cross?

Nothing can replace the disciplined practice engaged in daily, provided by wisdom-sacred paths, to urge us and grow us toward broader reaches of faith, love, and compassion.
